  • Take a look at the five domains of digital transformation and seven principles of experimentation; leverage core customer behaviors for personalization; identify market opportunities for competitive differentiation; develop an innovative, sustainable disruptive business model; understand the importance of A/B testing marketing collateral; and how to use big data to create value.

  • Develop strategies to effectively launch, grow, and govern your digital platform; leverage open innovation for optimized value capture; and apply platform strategies to create network effects and gain a sustainable competitive advantage.

  • Get a step-by-step guide to structuring a digital marketing plan, explore David Roger's five strategies for customer networks, master the latest social media best practices, and learn how to accurately analyze and measure marketing ROI.

  • A major highlight of the program is the Capstone project where participants work in teams to develop a digital business challenge or a start-up idea. You will apply all of the strategies, frameworks and tools learned during the diploma on a practical transformational work of significance.

    Over the last 2 months, teams build a substantial business case in 4 parts, with a roadmap for execution, supervised by program experts. Teams also receive relevant consultations, feedback and support along the way, to correct and improve their case. Team members may be from different industries, with varied experiences (typically 15-25 years) thus enriching your learning process.

The SEM simulation will give you the opportunity to run an advertising campaign with a given budget, improve your SEM knowledge and skills, optimize landing pages, master the art of email campaigns, and identify key performance indicators to successfully launch your digital strategy:

Write targeted ads: Test and learn different promotional strategies to create compelling advertisements through organized advertising groups and campaigns to help increase conversions.

Perform strategic SEO research: Evaluate keywords and learn to recognize different market segments and buyer intent. The keyword research dashboard uses data from Google® Keyword Planner Tool, which brings this simulation to life.

Practice social media content promotion strategies: Learn to grow your followers organically or by using promotional strategies such as paid, owned and earned. Analyse data and improve reach by using various forms of media and different targeting strategies.

Maximize your advertising budget: Manage your social media marketing budget and put in place strategies that drive clicks, shares, likes and comments.

Pre-admission Requirements

Applicants must be at least 21 years of age and will be required to submit:

  • A completed application form
  • Minimal educational requirement of a Bachelor Degree certificate or official transcript in any discipline
  • An updated CV/resume

ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY REQUIREMENT

All candidates who have received their bachelor’s or other degree or diploma from an education institution where English is NOT the primary language of instruction are required to demonstrate English language proficiency through ANY ONE of the following methods

  • Obtain a TOEFL minimum score of 550 for the paper based test or its equivalent
  • Obtain an IELTS minimum score of 6.0
  • Obtain a Pearson Versant Test minimum score of 59
  • Obtain a Certificate of Completion for a Certificate course offered by Emeritus
  • Submit a document which shows that the candidate has, for the last 24 months or more, worked in ANY ONE of these countries: Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, The Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Canada, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, India, Ireland, Jamaica, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, United Kingdom, United States of America
